What is a Florida Food License?
The Florida Food Service License is a mandatory permit issued by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) that authorizes an establishment to prepare, serve, or sell food to the public in the state of Florida.
This license is required for all food service establishments including restaurants, cafeterias, bars serving food, food trucks, catering operations, grocery stores with food preparation, bakeries, and any other business that handles food for public consumption.
